A liar and a thief

The one you thought you could believe

Is a traitor to it all

A breaker of trust and absorber of

All you’ve ever done was taken

Handed all you’ve known

 

In time they will come to see 

Just how frivolous they have come to be

Ignore the facts, and fuck reason

Tread on sheep and just keep believing

Inherently stupid, yet ornately profound

You have all of the answers but never around

 

Time we look past this charade

Arrogance and ignorance masked as strength and power

 

Moving forward by treading backwards

Ever clearly lost forever

 

Why pave the way down?

Such progress has been made

Suppose we’ve been down this path before

Only to look back in shame

Drowning, doubting your fellow man

Is this really what we’ve come to?

Indefinite and crippling cycle

 

We are falling

Chaos is calling

In our mourning

Seems we’ve lost ourselves
